Of Course, this is the world of science and how advanced to it that scientists can penetrate even into the heart of an atom but such a developed science has disturbed only the secrets of Nature and its beautifulness. One wonders if they ever know such an evolutionary explosion. They should not forget that they themselves are dependent on the nature. Nothing remains without Nature and mankind is also nothing but a part of nature .the body is nature, its needs are those of nature. Everything we do and see, every function of the whole body is evidence of the witness and action of nature, our Mother. Thus at least we need to consider what the nature is and how is its touch and we are not separable from its binding.
In a way, we are imprisoned by our day-by-day, civilization but happy? This happiness what we get from it is like scratching the skin when you get itching. Sensual happiness is attended with severe exertion, sin, fear, pain, worry and several evils. Indeed, we encounter so many miracles everyday; surgeons accomplish new wonders, the heart plantation and replacement of deceased kidney or grafting of a lung in the body of a person etc.but none of this is enough. Our way of life is responsible for most of its ills and we can’t modify it ourselves, why? Because we don’t care for our health, don’t know what our body is and is related with what.
Our body is closely related to the mind and prana-the vital energy. Our entire personality is nothing but the combination of Body,Prana,and Mind.All our troubles are due to a disharmony among these three. a lotus is kept in a pot of water is disturbed when the pot is lotus.Similarly,any disturbance to the body is carried to the Prana which in turn communicates it to the Mind. To keep all these three in balance or harmony is compared to a perfectly good health and this can be found only by practicing Yoga or Yogic exercises.
In yogic exercises there is harmonious development of all the muscles of the body, internal organs, nerves and the frame. No rapid movements and hence no waste of energy, movements are gentle and rhythmic and helps to conserve energy .its practice regulates the tripod of life, the brain, heart and lungs. Its regular practice can remove all sorts of diseases. Also the methods of yoga are simple sensible and scientific and is undoubtedly most practical. Effective and best suited to the demands of modern life.
Ordinary physical exercises, modern physical culture systems are designed these days but the se exercises develop the superficial muscles of the body only. Muscles are developed by mechanical movements and exercises. There are fast movements in such physical exercises resulting in the rapid functioning of the heart and lungs. The practitioner becomes exhausted very quickly. There may also be anxiety, psychological tension and fear. Some exercises develop the; chest and arms only which becomes lopsided and results in disharmony in the personality.
Now this is the time for a youth to know all these things. A youth is a future of the next generation and this is the golden age to know of all because it cannot be done anything properly without enough good health. Only by keeping good health he can do all those things what he wishes because we know, an ill health has a bad idea and has no longer lasted. Everybody has to learn “Health is Wealth” but we don’t try to earn such kind of wealth, which is best to livelong. It is easier to earn such wealth during our adolescence than to earn in late ages. so it is necessary to be healthy for all youths of the world now to have good ideas, to save the nature –our life and only in this way man finds endless peace and joy. |
